December's Selection - Zora and Nicky: A Novel in Black and White by Claudia Mair Burney
December's Selection - Zora and Nicky: A Novel in Black and White by Claudia Mair Burney
This book had a bit of a slow beginning, but once you've read the first few chapters, it was hard to put down. It dealt with both racism and religion. With these two factors, I suggest you read this book
We unanimously agreed that this was a book worth recommending!!!!
November's Selection - Diva's Inc. by Donna Hill
This had to have been on of the funniest books we have ever read!!!!!! Easy to follow characters and a lot of creativity!!!! Ms. Hill had fun with this one. She had us all wondering about the "WHO" in this book and we were pleasantly surprised when we found out. For both beginner and ackcomplished readers', I'm sure everyone would enjoy this book.
Never take friendship for granted, because if you do....the GRAND DIVA will turn your life upside down and you will not even see it coming!!!!
September's Selection - Family...Secrets, Lies and Alibi's by Nanette Buchanan
How would you feel if you found out that the person you recently met, that person who took your breath away, that person who is your Mr./Mrs. Right....could be related to you!!!!!!
How would you feel to find out that the person who birthed you and gave you everything from the best school to designer clothing all of your life has gone and left you to fend for yourself!!!!!!
These are just a few of the twist you will find in Family...Secrets, Lies and Alibi's by Nanette Buchanan. This novel is full of twist, humor and some very tasteful sexiness. Mrs. Buchanan gives great descriptions of the characters to make you feel as though you know them, and although a work of fiction, makes you wonder about the events in your own life.
